The Registered Nurse is responsible for professional nursing care. Provides direction to non-professional nursing personnel in providing direct patient care to neonatal patients. Supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the objectives of the hospital.
The HIM Technician is responsible for retrieving, prepping, scanning and indexing patient records and loose documents in accordance with the departmental standards as outlined by OakBend Medical Center.
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for preparing and assembling medical and surgical supplies, instrumentation, and equipment, maintaining the sterile processing areas, and receiving and distributing surgical supplies and equipment.
The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the operations of the entire department (i.e., customer service, transaction entry, receptionist desk, refunds, billing, collections, and other support areas). This position is directly responsible for creating, managing, and monitoring processes associated with Patient Accounting functions. Staff development, training, hiring, coaching, discipline, and accountabilities associated with the staff’s job performance are to be developed and administered by the Manager.
Key processes within the Patient Accounting area are as follows: 1) patient billing, 2) insurance claims filing, 3) insurance follow-up, 4) self-pay follow-up, 5) bad debt referrals, 6) charity classification, and 7) contractual adjustments.
Process compliance by the staff is the responsibility of the Patient Accounting Manager. In short, the performance of OakBend Medical Center accounts receivables depends on the effectiveness of the Manager.
The Surgical Technologist facilitates the operative or other invasive procedure by preparing and providing the required sterile instruments, supplies and equipment. Maintains the sterile field and anticipates and responds to the needs of the surgical team.
The ASU/PACU RN is responsible for the pre-operative and post-operative care of the surgical patient for the department. Multidimensional responsibilities include patient/family teaching and patient care throughout the pre-anesthesia and post-anesthesia recovery phases of care. The registered nurse in ASU/PACU is involved in the assessment, nursing diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of perceived, potential or actual problems associated with anesthesia agents and surgical procedures..
Under the supervision of the Clinic Director or Manager, the Physical Therapist provides various methods of Physical Therapy and supervision by physician orders. Serves as a resource person for PT Assistants and PT Aides.
Under the direct supervison of the Building Services Supervisor, the Housekeeper I is responsible for the disinfection and general cleaning of patient care areas, treatment rooms, and other areas of the facility in accordance with established standards.
The Registered Nurse at Jackson Street and Williams Way Campus is responsible for professional nursing care and related assistance to patients on an assigned unit. The staff nurse provides direction to licensed vocational nurses and non-professional nursing personnel in providing direct patient care. The staff nurse supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the objectives of the hospital.
Under the general supervision of the Radiology Manager, the CAT Scan Technologist is responsible for the provision of radiological services to patients according to physician’s orders. Provides for patient safety and high quality testing.

The Licensed Vocational Nurse at the Jackson Street Campus is under the direct/indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse and is responsible for the professional nursing care and related assistance to patients on an assigned unit. Performs direct patient care within the scope of the Licensed Vocational Practice Act and in the assigned Critical Care area to established procedures. Projects an image of a level-headed professional that is constantly striving to increase their knowledge to better the care for the patient.
The Registered Nurse is one who plans, coordinates, delivers, and evaluates nursing care for patients whose protective reflexes or self-care abilities are potentially compromised during operative or other invasive procedures. Although the RN works collaboratively with other perioperative professionals (e.g.: Surgeons, anesthesia professional, surgical technologists) to meet patient needs, the RN is accountable for the patient outcomes resulting from the nursing care provided during the operative or other invasive procedure. Using clinical knowledge, judgement, and clinical reasoning skills based on scientific principles, the RN plans and implements nursing care to address the physical, psychological, and spiritual responses of the patient having an operative or invasive procedure..

The Occupational Therapist is a qualified, licensed professional who supervises, evaluates and provides occupational therapy services to patients in the clinic as prescribed by the attending physician and directs daily clinical operations.
Under the general direction of the Security Manager, the Security Officer is responsible for the general work in the protection of persons and property, and the enforcement of all applicable policies, rules, and regulations at OakBend Medical Center. Observes behavioral health patients as assigned. Also to include applicable federal, state, and local laws to prevent losses due to accidents and incidents.
