Under the general supervision of the Radiology Manager, the MRI Technologist is responsible for the provision of radiological services to patients according to physicians’ orders.  Provides for patient safety and high quality testing.

Under the supervision of the Clinic Director or Manager, the Physical Therapist provides various methods of Physical Therapy and supervision by physician orders. Serves as a resource person for PT Assistants and PT Aides.

The Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for verification of eligibility, insurance benefits, authorizations, pre-certification and payments of patients for all OBMC locations. The Insurance Verification Specialist is required to contact patients by phone to discuss total amount due to hospital for services rendered, setup payment arrangements, create estimates for portion due at time of service and assist patients with insurance plans that are complex. Must have insurance/benefits and authorization expertise, analytical thinking skills, communication and writing skills, attention to details, multitask, background knowledge with insurance plans, knowledge with payer websites and policies/procedures, basic Microsoft and Excel experience and ability to key data entry timely and efficient.   This position’s first and foremost responsibility is to protect the financial integrity of OakBend Medical Center. There are multiple locations within OakBend Medical Center requiring Insurance Verification Specialist services (i.e., Jackson St, Williams Way, New Territory, Wharton, Elite Travis, River Oak, Metro and Grand Parkway). While the day to day duties vary, the primary responsibility is maximizing reimbursement and obtaining authorizations for all required services rendered. The Insurance Verification Specialist must ensure that each account has complete benefit verifications, appropriate authorizations, and that all out-of-pocket expenses are explained to our patients and financial arrangements made and are followed through per current procedures including uninsured patients.  Protect the financial health of OakBend Medical Center and providing exemplary customer service to our internal and external customers.

The Registered Nurse is one who plans, coordinates, delivers, and evaluates nursing care for patients whose protective reflexes or self-care abilities are potentially compromised during operative or other invasive procedures. Although the RN works collaboratively with other perioperative professionals (e.g.: Surgeons, anesthesia professional, surgical technologists) to meet patient needs, the RN is accountable for the patient outcomes resulting from the nursing care provided during the operative or other invasive procedure. Using clinical knowledge, judgement, and clinical reasoning skills based on scientific principles, the RN plans and implements nursing care to address the physical, psychological, and spiritual responses of the patient having an operative or invasive procedure.

Maintains the sterile field and anticipates and responds to the needs of the surgical team.

$15,000 Sign-On Bonus - Certain criteria is required to qualify for the bonus.   The PACU Registered Nurse is responsible for managing the care of the pediatric and adult patient requiring a surgical procedure. The PACU RN is a professional nurse who is directly or indirectly responsible for delivering total nursing care to the perioperative patient during the post-operative phases of the perioperative stay. The PACU RN participates in the clinical assessment, planning for care, implantation of appropriate nursing techniques and evaluation of nursing interventions.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for professional nursing care. Provides direction to non-professional nursing personnel in providing direct patient care to neonatal patients. Supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the objectives of the hospital.

The Appeals Specialist will manage the organization’s third party payer appeals through the ability to analyze, research and successfully appeal third party claims within timely filing timelines.  This position will develop payer and cross-functional hospital relationships to effectively appeal and obtain full contractual payment on claims.  The Appeals Specialist will lead the organization’s denials management process and make recommendations for continuous improvement, including root cause analysis and implementation of processes to consistently reduce denials. The Appeals Specialist will work closely with the Business Office Director and IT to build and refine the payer variance and denial reports to insure the accuracy and effectiveness of the reports.  The Appeals Specialist will provide constructive feedback and suggestions to the Accounts Receivable, Patient Registration, Insurance Verification and Case Management teams in order to prevent claim denials.
