The Registered Nurse is responsible for professional nursing care and related assistance to patients in the ICU. The staff nurse provides direction to non-licensed assertive personnel in providing direct patient care. The staff nurse supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the objectives of the hospital.
Under the Direct supervision of the AVP of Nursing, the Skilled Nursing Facility Administrator is responsible for managing the operations of the skilled nursing facility. The Lead Respiratory Therapist must hold the CRT / RRT credential from the NBRC and must be licensed to practice Respiratory Care in the State of Texas. The PACU Registered Nurse is responsible for managing the care of the pediatric and adult patient requiring a surgical procedure. The PACU RN is a professional nurse who is directly or indirectly responsible for delivering total nursing care to the perioperative patient during the post-operative phases of the perioperative stay. The PACU RN participates in the clinical assessment, planning for care, implantation of appropriate nursing techniques and evaluation of nursing interventions.
Under the general supervision of the Clinical Director/Manager of the Perioperative Unit, the Clinical Coordinator provides care of patients within the Pre-Op/PACU Department. This position assumes clinical responsibility for the specialty by providing teaching, clinical supervision and evaluation of other personnel assigned to the area.
