Applies knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span to identify patient and family requirements relative to age specific needs.
In accordance with TJC, local, state and federal agency standards, completes Screenings, Comprehensive Nutrition Assessment, Care Plans, Nutrition Education and Re-assessment utilizing the Nutrition Care Process for patients with complex medical needs. Participates in interdisciplinary care planning, including team meetings. Provides Medical Nutrition Therapy Counseling Services to out- patients and families with complex medical needs. Provides in-service training to employees. Participates in Departmental Quality Improvement activities. Preceptor for Dietetic Interns and HOSA students. Provides Community Presentations.

Under the general supervision of the Business Office Manager responsible for performing clerical and support duties for the department. The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for the coordinator is also responsible for the coordinator of scheduling requests from physicians and other hospital department. The Coordinator prepares reports as required by the Clinical Director/Administrator.
Under the supervision of the Food Service Supervisor, the Cook is responsible for preparing food items for patient tray line, cafeteria and hospital functions.
Under the direction of the Clinical Director of Med/Surg, the Education Coordinator provides continuing education support for nursing and allied health professionals. The Education Coordinator develops, implements and coordinates educational programs for all levels of hospital staff; supervises the activities of the Education Department staff; provides initial and ongoing orientation and training to Nursing Services staff; and assists with hospital competency assessment and performance improvement activities.
Under the general supervision of the Radiology Director, the Radiology Manager is responsible for the supervision of all personnel in the Radiology Department to ensure staff competency in designated areas of responsibilities. Functions as a resource person for Lead Technologists and staff members providing necessary education, training, competency validation, and performance reviews of individual members of the radiology staff. Organizes, teaches and participates in departmental activities. In the absence of the Department Director, assumes responsibilities for the department, in consultation with the AVP of Nursing.

The ECC Patient Access Representative is the first line of quality service to our patients and our guests. This position serves as the ambassador of service, setting the standard by which all other departments and services are judged.
The position’s main responsibilities include greeting customers and subsequently providing the highest level of customer service possible. Timely and accurate registrations, complete benefit verifications, patient education (regarding benefits) and appropriate authorizations for services are the responsibility of the ECC Patient Access Representative.
Under the general supervision of the Clinical Manager and the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Emergency Care Center (ECC) Unit Secretary/ Monitor Tech provides a variety of patient care and clerical activities. These activities are carried out according to hospital policy, the hospital mission statement and the philosophy of the Department of Nursing.
The ECC Unit Secretary/ Monitor Tech provide clerical support for the functions of the ECC. Receptionist duties include greeting visitors in a friendly manner, courteously answering the telephone and taking accurate messages, and maintaining communication with physician, ancillary departments and supervisors. Enters and updates computer data and assists in maintaining supplies for the unit. Ensures proper handling of patient charts. Provides EKG monitoring for the patients in the ECC.
The MATERNAL PROGRAM MANAGER (MPM) ensures strategic and operational responsibility for the Maternal Program. Assists in promoting optimal care to the pregnant and immediately postpartum patient through clinical activities, professional and public education, injury prevention, and quality improvement and patient safety. The MPM acts as a resource person to all patient care areas regarding nursing care as related to the pregnant and immediately postpartum patient. Functions as a liaison for maternal care by maintaining effective lines of communication with all concerned parties. The MPM provides education and administrative support for unit operations and ensures effective and efficient implementation of key educational processes at the unit level. The Maternal Program Manager, the Director of Perinatal Services, and the Maternal Medical Director are responsible for overall management of the Maternal Program. The Maternal Program Manager will actively participate in the development of a regionalized maternal care system. This includes participating in the PCR meetings, QAPI regional activities, and regional collaboratives, and submit requested data to assist with data analysis to evaluate regional outcomes as an element of the QAPI plan.
Under the general supervision of the Imaging Center Manager, the Ultrasonographer is responsible for the provision of radiological services to patients according to physicians' orders. Provides for patient safety and high quality testing.

Under the direct supervision of the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator will assist, develop and coordinate a wide variety of marketing programs and activities. The Marketing Coordinator writes and/or edits marketing and promotional materials including: graphic design projects, social media, brochures, flyers, and other documents; maintains internal system for prioritizing and fulfilling marketing requests; and coordinates special marketing events and health fairs.
Under the direct supervision of the Critical Care Unit Manager/(s), the Senior Nursing Department Coordinator is responsible for performing clerical duties and assisting in the day-to-day functioning of the Nursing Departments (Including but not limited to critical care units: ICU & ECC) as assigned. General duties include maintaining the staffing schedules, assisting with time entry and payroll, and preparing data and reports for meetings and management.
Under the general supervision of the Clinical Director/Manager of Perioperative Services, the Clinical Coordinator, RN provides care of patients within the PACU and ASU Departments. This position assumes clinical responsibility for the specialty by providing teaching, clinical supervision and evaluation of other personnel assigned to the area. This position is also responsible for duties outlined in the staff registered nurse job description: professional nursing care and related assistance to patients, providing direction to licensed vocational nurses and non-professional nursing personnel in providing direct patient care.
The HIM Technician is responsible for retrieving, prepping, scanning and indexing patient records and loose documents in accordance with the departmental standards as outlined by OakBend Medical Center.
The Perioperative RN is responsible for managing the care of the pediatric and adult patient requiring a surgical procedure. The Perioperative RN is a professional nurse who is directly or indirectly responsible for delivering total nursing care to the perioperative patient during various phases of the perioperative stay. The Perioperative RN participates in the clinical assessment, planning for care, implantation of appropriate nursing techniques and evaluation of nursing interventions.
