Receptionist duties include greeting visitors in a friendly manner, courteously answering the telephone and taking accurate messages, and maintaining communication with physicians, ancillary departments and supervisors. Enters and updates admission data, diets, dietary supplements, labs, census reports and nursing profiles. Assists in maintaining supplies for the unit. Ensures proper handling of patient charts from admission to discharge, to include assembly and disassembly, completion of orders, posting reports, maintenance of appropriate forms, and obtaining previous charts.

The Surgical Technologist facilitates the operative or other invasive procedure by preparing and providing the required sterile instruments, supplies and equipment. Maintains the sterile field and anticipates and responds to the needs of the surgical team.
