Under the general supervision of the Clinical Director/Manager of the Perioperative Unit, the Clinical Coordinator provides care of patients within the OR Department. This position assumes clinical responsibility for the specialty by providing teaching, clinical supervision and evaluation of other personnel assigned to the area. Under the direct supervision of the Licensed/Registered Nurse, the Medication Aide assists with patient care throughout nursing areas providing such services as collecting blood samples and other specimens, administering medication, transporting patients, and EKG monitoring. The Medication Aide will may also serve as a patient observer/sitter. The Medication Aide provides clerical and receptionist support for the functions of a specific patient care unit according to the hospital policy, the hospital mission statement, and the philosophy of the Department of Nursing.

The Certified Nursing Assistant/Medical Assistant assists with patient care throughout nursing areas and is responsible for the safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher, provides the services of an observer/sitter for any patient who requires constant observation in order to maximize his/her safety.

The Licensed Vocational Nurse provides direct nursing care to individuals and groups of patient according to physician orders and applicable patient care standards. 

The Registered Nurse directs and supervises other licensed staff and non-professional nursing personnel in providing excellent patient care. The Registered Nurse supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the objectives of the hospital.

The Monitor Technologist provides EKG monitoring and clerical support for the functions of a specific patient care unit. Under the general supervision of the Director, the Cath Lab Technologist provides care for patients having procedures in the Cath Lab in the role of monitoring, scrubbing and circulating. Demonstrates an understanding of all invasive procedures, the equipment and supplies for each procedure, and indications for performing each procedure. Must be able to take call and live within 30 minutes of hospital, and/or make accommodations for being within 30 minutes of hospital when taking call.

Under the general supervision of the Radiology Manager, the Radiologic Technologist is responsible for the provision of radiological services to patients according to physicians’ orders.  Provides for patient safety and high quality testing.

Under the general direction of the Security Manager, the Security Officer is responsible for the general work in the protection of persons and property, and the enforcement of all applicable policies, rules, and regulations at OakBend Medical Center. Observes behavioral health patients as assigned. Also to include applicable federal, state, and local laws to prevent losses due to accidents and incidents. 

Under the general supervision of the Radiology Manager, the MRI Technologist is responsible for the provision of radiological services to patients according to physicians’ orders.  Provides for patient safety and high quality testing.

The Clinic Coordinator is responsible for providing day to day administration support, clinic operations and is responsible for greeting customers and providing the highest level of customer service possible. Timely accurate registrations including but not limited to obtaining demographics information and complete benefit verification.  

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for all aspects of Supply Chain Management including contracting, cost management, vendor management, procurement, logistics, materials management and centralized distribution activities, staff management and compliance with all applicable regulations related to medical equipment to the best benefit of the organization. Promotes a safe environment. Maintains compliance with hospital policies and procedures. Manages supply chain to maintain strong expense control and efficient processes.

The Surgical Technologist facilitates the operative or other invasive procedure by preparing and providing the required sterile instruments, supplies and equipment. Maintains the sterile field and anticipates and responds to the needs of the surgical team.
