The Employee Health Nurse should have the ability to use excellent communication skills and is responsible for screening the applicant for credentials and skills.   Responsible for immunization and testing and maintaining the employee health registry and other duties assigned by the department Director.  The Employee Health nurse provides initial and ongoing orientation and training in infection control/employee health principles and practices to all hospital employees. The Clinical Infection Control Practitioner, RN establishes and implements guidelines directed toward the prevention, detection and control of infectious processes and coordinates the employee health program. Provides initial and ongoing orientation and training in infection control/employee health principles and practices to all hospital staff.

Under the general supervision of the Surgical Services Manager, the Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for performing clerical and support duties for the department. The Scheduling Coordinator is also responsible for the coordination of scheduling requests from physicians and other hospital departments. The Coordinator prepares reports as required by the Director.

The Patient Access Representative is the first line of quality service to our patients and our guests.  This position serves as the ambassador of service, setting the standard by which all other departments and services are judged. Greets customers and subsequently provides the highest level of customer service possible.  Timely and accurate registrations, complete benefit verifications, patient education (regarding benefits) and appropriate authorizations for services are the responsibility of the Patient Access Representative.

The Account Representative’s first and foremost responsibility is to protect the financial integrity of OakBend Medical Center.  The Account Representative is accountable for effectively managing a portion of OakBend Medical Center’s Accounts Receivable.  This includes collections from patient families, third party payers, government entities, etc., and requires timely and accurate contractual adjustments.  The Account Representative must use good judgment in charity and bad debt considerations.  

The Appeals Specialist will manage the organization’s third party payer appeals through the ability to analyze, research and successfully appeal third party claims within timely filing timelines.  This position will develop payer and cross-functional hospital relationships to effectively appeal and obtain full contractual payment on claims.  The Appeals Specialist will lead the organization’s denials management process and make recommendations for continuous improvement, including root cause analysis and implementation of processes to consistently reduce denials.
