Under the direction of the Director of Quality, the Education Dept. Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Education Department through the coordination of educational programs, new hire orientation, and departmental resources. This position serves as a key administrative resource, ensuring the effective organization and delivery of education-related activities across the organization.
The Education Dept. Coordinator provides comprehensive clerical and administrative support to the Quality Department, Community Outreach, and other departments as assigned. Responsibilities include coordinating schedules, maintaining records and documentation, preparing reports, assisting with program implementation, and facilitating communication among departments.
The Education Dept. Coordinator is responsible for carrying out departmental functions and projects as assigned by the Director of Quality, Clinical Educators, and Administration. This role assists in the planning, coordination, and evaluation of educational initiatives, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and objectives.
Additionally, the Education Coordinator supports performance improvement efforts by coordinating activities, tracking outcomes, maintaining related documentation, and contributing to initiatives to enhance organizational performance based on identified results and quality indicators.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in lieu of a high school diploma/GED education will be considered.
Completion of some College courses is preferred or equivalent work experience.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
One to two years of work experience in a hospital setting.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Possesses good oral and written communication skills. Previous hospital based work experience a plus but not required. Possesses basic computer skills, basic typing skills and good phone etiquette skills. Ability to multitask.
