The Pre-Assessment Testing Registered Nurse (PAT RN) is responsible for professional nursing care and related assistance to patients on an assigned unit. The PAT RN provides direction to licensed vocationsl nurses and non-professional nursing personnel in providing direct patient care, and supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the objectives of the hospital.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Previous perioperative nursing experience preferred.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse. Certified in BLS through the American Heart Association. ACLS and PALS/ENPC required within 6 months of hire.
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to assess and provide care to the patients. A critical thinker and the ability to effectively communicate with patients over the phone.
