Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Radiology Manager, the Central Scheduler is responsible for the operational aspects of the scheduling unit coordinating all outpatient appointments and other general clerical duties as assigned. The Lead position also includes accuracy checks/controls; training, coaching, and motivating coworkers; assisting with technical and support needs; and special projects as assigned by management. 

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

 

High school graduate or GED preferred; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered.

 

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

 

Minimum 5 years of clinical patient scheduling preferred.  

 

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

 

None.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

 

Use of Paragon and other computer programs, knowledge of medical terminology, departmental procedures, anatomy, and quality customer service, and has the ability to utilize good communication skills in order to work well with physicians, staff, and customers.  Ability to perform job related tasks in a timely manner.
