Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Clinical Director/Manager of the unit, the Clinical Coordinator, RN provides oversight during the assigned shift for the clinical and non-clinical staff in the administering of excellent patient care and customer service. This position assumes clinical responsibility for the specialty by providing orientation, teaching, clinical supervision and evaluation of personnel assigned to the area. The Clinical Coordinator, RN supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff in pursuant to the objectives of the hospital.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

 

Graduate of an accredited Nursing program: BSN preferred.

 

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

 

One year clinical experience in specialty required. One year experience as a Clinical Coordinator / Charge Nurse preferred.

 

REQUIRED LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

 

Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse. American Heart Association BLS required. Advance Cardiac Life Support, PALS or ENPC within 6 months of employment. TNCC within 18 months of hire and remain current in these certifications.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

 

Demonstrated leadership ability and critical thinking skills required. Excellent communication skills.  Computer skills.
