Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Radiology Manager, the MRI Technologist is responsible for the provision of radiological services to patients according to physicians’ orders.  Provides for patient safety and high quality testing.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION

 

Graduate of an accredited or registered school of Radiologic Technology.

 

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

 

Previous experience in MRI.

 

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

 

Current registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or registry eligible within 90 days of hire.  Current registration in Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedure.  Certified by the Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT). American Heart Association BLS required.

 

Valid Drivers’ license and reliable transportation necessary as driving between campuses is required.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

 

Knowledge of safety, equipment operation and quality patient care.  Knowledge of American College of Radiology ‘ACR Guidance Document on MR Safe Practices. Ability to generate

 

quality images in a timely manner.
