Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Clinical Director/Manager of the ICU, the Clinical Coordinator, RN plans, organizes, directs, and supervises other professional and non-professional staff in the administering of excellent patient care and customer service. This position assumes clinical responsibility for the specialty by providing teaching, clinical supervision and evaluation of other personnel assigned to the area. The Clinical Coordinator, RN supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff in pursuant to the objectives of the hospital.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

 

Graduate of an accredited Nursing program. BSN preferred.

 

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

 

Two years clinical experience, preferably on the unit, which the Registered Nurse takes the Clinical Coordinator responsbilities.

 

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

 

Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse. American Heart Association BLS required. Advance Cardiac Life Support within 6 months of employment.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

 

Demonstrated leadership ability and critical thinking skills required. Excellent communication skills. Computer skills.
