Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Manager/Assistant Manager, the Cardiopulmonary Coordinator is responsible for performing clerical and support duties for the department.  The Coordinator is also responsible for the coordination of scheduling requests from Physicians and other hospital departments.  The Coordinator prepares reports as required by the Cardiopulmonary Manager/Assistant Manager and Cardiopulmonary Staff.  The Coordinator also assists with diagnostic procedures as needed.  This position is also responsible for maintaining appropriate levels of equipment and supplies.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION

 

High school graduate or GED; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered.

 

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

 

Experience with computer systems:  word processing, database, and spreadsheets. Cardiology experience preferred: EKG’s, Stress Testing, EEG’s, & Holter Monitors.

 

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

 

No Licensure requirements.

BLS Healthcare Provider

CPR Course Certification through the American Heart Association.

 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

 

Use of Paragon and other computer programs, knowledge of medical terminology, knowledge of non-invasive diagnostic cardiology procedures, and has the ability to utilize good communication skills in order to work well with Physicians, Staff, and Customers. Also possesses knowledge of medical equipment and supply companies in order to maintain appropriate levels of supplies and equipment for department operation. Successful completion of any other hospital or department specific training courses may be required.
