The Licensed Vocational Nurse provides direct nursing care to individuals and groups of patient according to physician orders and applicable patient care standards.
MINIMUM EDUCATION
Graduate or Certificate from accredited program for Licensed Vocational Nursing.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in clinical nursing desired.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Current licensure in Texas as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Certified Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
Completion of Advanced Cardiac Life Support within one your of hire suggested. Computer SKills.
WORK SCHEDULE
The unit/department is staffed to provide coverage 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. It requires working weekends and holidays. Generally scheduled 12 hour shifts day or night rotations. Schedules and work shifts may be changed in respect to patient procedure demands and hospitla census. During low census or low procedure volumes, staff may be required to float to other nursing units where deemed competent, flex hours or rotate days off without pay.
