The Monitor Technologist provides EKG monitoring and clerical support for the functions of a specific patient care unit. Receptionist duties include greeting visitors in a friendly manner, courteously answering the telephone and taking accurate messages, and maintaining communication with physicians, ancillary departments and supervisors. Enters and updates admission data, diets, dietary supplements, labs, census reports and nursing profiles. Assists in maintaining supplies for the unit. Ensures proper handling of patient charts from admission to discharge, to include assembly and disassembly, completion of orders, posting reports, maintenance of appropriate forms, and obtaining previous charts.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
High school graduate or equivalent; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered.

Previous clerical experience
