Prepares anesthesia equipment and supplies necessary for administration of general, monitored anesthesia care, or regional anesthesia and supports anesthesia services. Maintains inventory levels of anesthesia equipment and supplies.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
High School diploma or GED required; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
One-year of previous anesthesia tech or related O.R. experience preferred.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
BLS certified through the American Heart Association.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of Perioperative standards of anesthesia equipment, set up and maintenance of anesthesia supplies. Experience with Paragon or basic computer skills.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Normally scheduled Monday through Friday. Will be required to take calls on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Work hours may fluctuate to accommodate the operating room schedule. Must be flexible if required to work long or irregular hours. During low census/patient procedures may be required to leave early or rotate days off.
