Responsibilities

$15,000 Sign-On Bonus - Certain criteria is required to qualify for the bonus.

 

Under the general supervision of the Clinical Director/Manager of the Perioperative Unit, the Clinical Coordinator provides care of patients within the OR Department. This position assumes clinical responsibility for the specialty by providing teaching, clinical supervision and evaluation of other personnel assigned to the area. This position is also responsible for duties outlined in the staff registered nurse job description: professional nursing care and related assistance to patients, providing direction to licensed vocational nurses and non-professional nursing personnel in providing direct patient care.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION

 

Diploma, AD, or BSN and 5 years of recent clinical experience.

 

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

 

5 years recent clinical experience

 

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

 

Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse. Certified in BLS through the American Heart Association.  ACLS, TNCC or equivalent within 6 months of hire. Certification in at least one specialty required.  Example:  ARON, CNOR, SGNA, or ASPAN.

PALS Preferred.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

 

Demonstrated proficiency in at least 5 surgical specialties or OR preferred. Prior Clinical Coordinator experience preferred.
